Transform Your Story into a Divine Appointment

My story doesn’t start with a typical Sunday school scene. It begins the night I came face-to-face with a demon. That’s what grabs attention. You have a moment like that too, even if you haven’t discovered it yet. That’s what this really is: an everyday faith story, the kind anyone can tell, if they’re willing to.

Every Person You Meet Is a Divine Appointment

I truly believe the Holy Spirit lives in us and guides our steps. So, whoever you meet today, whether it’s in the checkout line, online, or in a group chat, isn’t by chance. It’s a divine appointment. The real question is if you’re ready for it.

The Moment I Saw It Up Close

For years, I watched Todd White on YouTube walk up to strangers and lead them to Jesus as if it was the most natural thing. Then I saw him in person at a Power + Love conference. At the end of the weekend, there was a fire tunnel with hundreds of people in one room and many praying for anyone who came through. When Todd White laid his hands on me, it felt like everyone else faded away. It was just him, me, and God in that crowded room.

Something changed for me in that moment. Since then, starting a real conversation with a stranger has become easy, no matter where I am, even if I’m still in my pajamas.

The Tract Nobody Throws Away

At that conference, I listened to the head of evangelism for the Assemblies of God. He enjoys giving out gospel tracts, but he admitted that many people won’t even accept one, much less read it.

Then he shared something that changed my perspective. He turned his own story into a personal tract. He said only a handful of people had ever refused to read it.

It took me almost two years to act on that idea. But eventually, I did.

How Mine Came Together

I wrote my story with Claude’s help and then had it translated into Spanish. A native Spanish speaker reviewed it and only made two small changes. That’s pretty good for a machine. That’s the thing about everyday faith stories — they don’t need to be polished to matter. They just need to be true. My story ended up being about 1,400 words. I sent it to a printer, and about four weeks later, a box arrived with 1,000 copies in English and 1,000 in Spanish.

Now, I offer a copy to almost everyone I meet. So far, no one has turned me down. In fact, most people seem genuinely interested. Everyone likes to hear someone’s story.

I’ve also started putting copies into the free books I leave out for delivery drivers. Only God knows how far those stories will spread over time.

Everyday Faith Stories: You Can Do This Too

Really, take some time to write your story. Everyday faith stories aren’t written by professionals. They’re written by ordinary people willing to put theirs on paper. Here are a few things you might want to include:

• How you got saved
• How you got baptized in the Holy Spirit
• Any notable miracles you’ve witnessed, or that happened to someone close to you
• The hard seasons God carried you through
• Your biggest breakthroughs

Here’s a tip: begin with something that grabs attention. Instead of starting with “I grew up in church,” start with the moment your life changed. My story began with a demon encounter. Yours might start in a hospital room, with a phone call, or at your lowest point. Whatever it is, begin there.

Getting It Printed

I wish I could give you a perfect recommendation. I found someone who did a great job with mine, but it was just a side job for them, and last I heard, they were selling the business. So I can’t give you their name.
